This 1954 Ford F1 Pick Up Truck, featured on Rides Down Under: Workshop Wars, was built by Superformance with the goal of creating one of the nicest early F1 trucks in Australia. Starting with a stock truck that required rust repairs, the build was transformed into a highly detailed custom cruiser finished in a custom grey metallic colour. Power comes from an LS3 backed by a 4L80E automatic transmission, with a custom-built Ford 9” differential and disc brakes completing the driveline. Superformance upgraded the front end with a custom IFS, Aldan coil overs, Wilwood brakes, and right-hand-drive Flaming River power rack and pinion steering, while the rear features adjustable shock absorbers. The truck also includes air conditioning, power steering, ADR-approved retractable seat belts where possible, Dakota gauges, Vintage Air, a Lokar shifter, full rewire, central locking, immobiliser, black bucket seats, a strong sound system, American Racing billet wheels, Pirelli tyres, and a timber and stainless rear bed hiding a custom drop tank.
