US Mags
The longest running custom wheel tradition started in the mid 1960’s when American racing legend Parnelli Jones and his childhood friend Art Hale Sr. started up a wheel company called US Mags. In the 1970’s, With Parnelli Jones busy focusing on his other stores and race teams, Art Hale began expanding the wheel business.
Over the next few years, Art acquired several small or failed wheel companies, including a small wheel brand from the bay area called American Racing. Perhaps because of Parnelli’s racing heritage, American Racing became the brand name that Art Hale decided to consolidate all other brands into. Art Hale grew American Racing into the largest custom wheel company in the United States and by the time he sold the company in 1988, American Racing was producing nearly 200,000 wheels per year.
After years of working together with his father at American Racing, in early 2010, Art Hale Jr. re-acquired the US Mags brand and logo his father had originally started with so many years ago. Using the latest technology, US Mags was proud to re-introduce the original five spoke “Standard” and kidney bean “Indy” design that originally fueled custom the custom wheel market.
Now part of the larger Hoonigan Group, US Mags have a huge range of cast and billet alloy wheels, available in sizes ranging from 15” all the way up to 28”. Enhance the appearance and value of your vintage hotrod, muscle car or pickup truck with the original wheel brand and styles that were around when it was built, or go restomod-style with big sizes and new cutting-edge designs.
